Meanwhile, PAGASA clarified rumors about an early announcement of the rainy season (tag-ulan) due to the late termination of the Northeast Monsoon or Hanging Amihan in the county. The bureau said that this will only happen if we are experiencing the La Niña phenomenon. The start of the rainy season will still happen in June.
