The country remains storm-free as we welcome the first weekend of August 2018.
According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Meno Mendoza, a tropical cyclone and a Low Pressure Area are located east of the country, but none of these is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Despite the absence of a tropical cyclone today, rains will still affect some areas.
The continued presence of Habagat brings cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and ARMM. In Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms will be experienced. Northern and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
